Book Review: “Catalyst by Chandramouli Venkatesan”
Last week, I read a very interesting book, “Catalyst: The ultimate strategies on how to win at work and in life” by Chandramouli Venkatesan.
The author wrote it so brilliantly that I was glued to it, and finished it in a single sitting.
I would say it is a MUST read for all those who are working in the Corporate World.
My key takeaways from the book:
#1: Focusing on personal growth is much more fulfilling than fretting over promotions.
#2: Experience is the fruit of active learning not just doing a job.
#3: Seeking out and contributing to major projects is a great way to gain experience.
#4: Success is all about timing, so learn to delay gratification.
#5: The first half of your career is the perfect time to boost your problem-solving skills.
What do you think are the most important things to excel at a job & career?
